Neil Cadman Named to the IREM’s Equity Diversity & Inclusion Board

For the last year and a half, the Institute of Real Estate Management has picked up the momentum on their Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives. They recently partnered with the Association Forum of Chicago to conduct what they refer to as the Welcoming Environment Research Study. This initiative provided them with an opportunity to join an exclusive group of real estate industry leaders committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the association sector. By joining this initiative, IREM was able to harness the power of shared data and knowledge to unlock new insights that will help drive our real estate community toward actionable solutions that drive positive change. Excited at the prospect of being able to help, Neil spoke with IREM about these efforts and was invited to become a member of the board.

The Executive Committee and the Diversity Advisory Board met for the first time ever this fall to discuss future collaborative efforts. They’ve started conversations to further enhance IREM’s DISI Program and HBCU initiatives and collaborated with the IREM Foundation on ways to enhance the Foundation Diversity Scholarship. And most recently, IREM hired a DE&I strategist to help them develop plans for organization-wide DE&I initiatives.

Neil is excited to be a part of this inspiring group and to help them to grow their scope and expand their cause. Stay tuned here on our blog as the story continues to unfold with the latest news from this dynamic group of volunteers.
