Cadman Group is looking for a Property Management Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of an assigned sub-portfolio of multifamily units and commercial space.

 Property Management Coordinators (PMC) act as quasi “site” managers for smaller properties and supervise Site Managers and maintenance staff for larger properties. PMCs report to the Director of Property Management. Cadman Group prioritizes Customer Service and the PMC must provide leadership to uphold the Mission Statement and Core Principals of the company.

PMCs are accountable for leasing, collecting rent, scheduling maintenance, adhering to the annual budget, and following all company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the collection of monthly rent. Serve Notices, as applicable, and develop working relationship with tenants for payment of rent.

  • Team building and effectively supervise site staff and support staff.

  • Receive, schedule, and follow up on maintenance requests submitted by tenants and oversee improvements to properties.

  • Analyze monthly property reports and report variances to the Director of Property Management.

  • Visit sites on a regular basis to ensure properties are maintained adequately.

  • Ensure that site staff comply with current applicable landlord-tenant law and fair housing law, including reasonable accommodation procedures and policy.

  • Ensure that properties are adapting to changing market conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience with running “B” to “C” class multifamily properties ranging in size from 5 units to over 100 units.

  • Strong knowledge of the Fair Housing Act.

  • Strong and dynamic leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills using performance incentives and team-building strategies.

  • This position requires strong written, oral and reading communication skills to accurately obtain, interpret and transcribe complex programs at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong computer skills and experience or ability to learn AppFolio Property Manager software, Microsoft Suite, and Asana/Slack.

Other Details:

  • Starting salary in the $55,000 to $65,000 range depending on qualifications and experience. Position has significant growth opportunities. Benefits include health, 401K, and access to dental and life insurance.

  • PMC positions are located in two offices: Our corporate headquarters is in El Segundo, California, and our satellite office in Downtown Long Beach, California.
